A/V Operations Manager (Maintenance)
Spec and order A/V and other related equipment from vendors - keeping budgets and capabilities in mind.
Oversight of event logistics, technical details and equipment transport.
Appropriately choosing and scheduling technicians - both internally and externally - and communicating event details and schedules.
Maintain a directory of qualified technicians, cataloged according to skill sets, which have been trained, and/or approved by Director of Operations, according to the standards of the company.
Conduct new technician interviews. Director of Operations to participate in the process.
Maintain A/V technician calendars - adding new events and adjusting as needed.
Maintain event information in the Blue Danube database.
Assist as needed on sales calls and venue walkthroughs.
Assist as needed with event design.
Assist working set and strike events as needed.
Communicate effectively with vendors to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions and strategies.
Ensure that Blue Danube Productions consistently delivers superior technical solutions to clients.
Review, adjust and approve technician timecards.
Other duties as required.
What the successful A/V Operations Manager will have:
Minimum 3 years in live production events
Minimum of 3 years of live event Audio/Visual experience
Familiarity with corporate event A/V positions and responsibilities is required
Experience with Audio & Video production equipment
Experience in Operations Management
Ability to assimilate information and appreciate more complex information processing
Ability to comfortably communicate the more complex aspects of routine functions
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
Ability to manage freelance technician relationships
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
Ability to take direction from others without follow-up
Ability to read & edit audio-visual design documents
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong math skills
Eye for detail and attention to delivering high-quality, error-free deliverables
Devote attention to communication and teamwork
Maintain a positive attitude
Experience with Microsoft Office products including Office 365, Sharepoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word
Must have valid driver's or the ability to obtain a valid driver's license
Drive vans and box trucks up to 16'
Experience in livestream events a plus
Experience in IntelliEvent Lightning a plus
Experience with Vectorworks and Sketchup a plus
Operate Forklift, Scissor-lift, Boom-lift
Compensation:
$80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
