The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Genetics & Metabolism, University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Tampa is seeking a physician who is Board Certified or eligible in Clinical Genetics for a full-time Clinical Faculty position at the Assistant Professor level or above. The successful candidate will join a team of 1 clinical geneticist, 1 biochemical geneticist, 1 Nurse practitioner, 5 genetic counselors, 3 metabolic dietitians, and 4 research coordinators. Primary responsibilities include the evaluation and management of pediatric and adult patients with genetic and metabolic disorders in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. Outpatients may be seen at USF Health Clinics. The inpatient services will include consultations at Tampa General Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital. As a clinical teaching faculty, the chosen candidate will be expected to participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and genetic counselor students, as well as participate in research programs, including clinical trials and other clinical research.

Medical degree from an accredited institution. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Clinical Genetics and Genomics and be eligible for full unrestricted Florida Medical License.

Clinical: The candidate will provide inpatient consultative services for inborn errors of metabolism and general genetics at Tampa General Hospital and general genetics at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, as well as outpatient USF Health clinics.

Research : Participate in research programs to expand the scholarly activities of the division. The incumbent will be encouraged to participate in clinical trials and other clinical research.

Teaching: Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, fellows and genetic counselor students.

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
