Job Summary

Overseeing the daily shipping operations. Responsible for supervising the shipping team, ensuring accurate and timely outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enforcing safety and compliance standards.

Job Location

The position is an on-site role located at our Dover, DE facility.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily shipping activities, including order fulfillment, packing, labeling, and loading.
  • Ensure all outbound shipments meet customer specifications, company standards, and shipping deadlines.
  • Assign work to shipping personnel and monitor workflow to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate staff performance; promote a safe and productive work environment.
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve issues and coordinate logistics.
  • Ensure shipping documentation is accurate and complete (e.g.; bills of lading, shipping labels, manifests).
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for packaging and shipping supplies.
  • Conduct regular audits of shipping processes and records to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Use warehouse SAP systems to manage shipments, track orders, and update records.
  • Follows all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and housekeeping.
  • Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and conduct regular cycle counts. • Oversee receiving activities, act as back up.
  • Maintain and manage forklift PM program.
  • Able to roll up sleeves and work with employees to train and coach.

Job Requirements

  • College Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • Proficient reading and math skills. Must be able to follow directions.
  • Ability to read work order specifications and orders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the overall organizational function from a site specific standpoint.
  • Requires 3+ years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics operations, with at least 1-year in supervisory role.
  • Understanding of international shipping processes.
  • Experience with 5-S, and/or LEAN.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office, and SAP preferred
