Laser Operator (Engineering)

The Stone Setting department is responsible for polishing, engraving, plating, and setting stones, demanding high dexterity, concentration, and attention to detail to ensure the quality of each piece.

As a Laser Operator, you will engrave jewelry pieces and assist with laser machine operations, ensuring high-quality, customized products for our customers. You'll operate, maintain, and troubleshoot engraving equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate laser engraving and welding machines to customize rings, bracelets, pendants, and other jewelry items.
Start up and shut down laser equipment and maintain a clean work area.
Perform routine maintenance on mechanical and laser engraving equipment.
Load, run, and monitor engraving programs for accuracy and quality.
Edit and prepare images or handwritten files for engraving.
Assist with customer requests by answering calls from Sales, Customer Service, and Special Projects teams.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
Basic computer skills, including file management and editing.
Ability to learn and apply technical skills related to laser equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience operating laser engravers or similar machinery.
Familiarity with editing software for images and engraving files.
Strong communication skills for internal collaboration.
