General Manager (Project Management)



POSITION DESCRIPTION

The General Manager holds full accountability for the strategic leadership and daily operations of the Liquid Environmental Solutions, Branch Office. This role ensures seamless coordination across service delivery, equipment management, and team performance. The General Manager will collaborate closely with the Adjacent Services Group Management Team to align efforts, drive profitability, and deliver exceptional customer service. A core responsibility of this position is to ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence. This leader plays a pivotal role in cultivating a high-performing, unified team focused on shared success and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

Operational Leadership

  • Direct and oversee all daily branch office operations, including branch services, routing and logistics.
  • Direct and oversee customer facing project estimates, proposals and presentations.
  • Direct and oversee both team and customer facing conflict resolution.
  • Ensure vehicle and equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs are performed to maintain operational readiness and minimize costs.
  • Lead and support a diverse team of service technicians, supervisors and administrative staff through effective coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and manage shift schedules to ensure optimal coverage aligned with customer expectations and operational efficiency.
  • Uphold and implement LES Best Practices by applying proven procedures and operational standards that promote consistency, safety, and performance excellence.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all operations remain in full compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and facility permitting requirements.
  • Conduct safety meetings, route observations, and facility inspections regularly.
  • Maintain accurate records for manifests, profiles, bills of lading, and daily operational logs.
  • Adhere to all regulations & policies & procedures of the company.

Financial Accountability

  • Maintain responsibility for branch/facility P&L; manage budgets to align with corporate revenue and EBITIA goals including any necessary reporting.
  • Analyze financial data and present monthly performance updates to management.
  • Administer facility expense controls and contribute to cost-effective business practices.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Promote and maintain strong client relationships through site visits, regular communication, and prompt resolution of service concerns.
  • Support customer retention strategies and identify growth opportunities within the service area.

Team Development & Culture:

  • Hire, train, and mentor staff to support safe, efficient, and profitable site operations.
  • Lead by example to instill a professional, compliant, and customer-focused culture.
  • Maintain on-call availability for emergencies and serve as the primary point of contact for after-hours operational needs.
  • Leverage company resources and training programs to support onboarding and continuous development of new hires.
  • Evaluate & provide performance feedback to the branch team

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of CDL, DOT, OSHA, and wastewater regulations.
  • Operational knowledge of service plumbing, septic systems, sewer & drain line cleaning, inspection and repair.
  • Operational knowledge of general contracting negation, compliance and protocol.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams in a service business environment.
  • Exceptional decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) (Required)
  • QuickBooks and Service Titan knowledge (Preferred)

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering (Preferred)
  • 5+ years in a management role within a customer service based business (Required)
  • Wastewater/waste stream experience and CDL experience (Preferred)

Working Environment:

  • Split between office and field environments.
  • Anticipated travel 20%.
  • Requires occasional light lifting, extended periods of sitting, and exposure to operational stress.
  • Must be able to respond quickly and effectively in emergency scenarios.
