Kiln Instructor Coordinator (Finance)



Overview

Location: Calera, AL

Pay is dependent upon experience and will be discussed during the consideration process.

The Kiln Instructor Coordinator's prime objective is to lead and coordinate the Control Room Operators in the production of raw mix, solid fuel, clinker and cement in accordance with the safety, environmental, quality and volumes required.

The Kiln Instructor Coordinator's prime objectives are to initiate and lead the process optimization efforts in the Cement plant to ensure effective & efficient utilization, while producing a consistently quality product.

Role & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Be safety conscious employee & promotes safety thro the actions
  • Safely carries out process flow measurements & perform calculations, etc.,
  • Acts on issues that affect shop's ability to efficiently perform
  • Sound technical knowledge in Process engineering - Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, Refractory, Combustion, Crushing / Grinding, Material handling etc
  • Need have a good idea of cement manufacturing process / mineral process industry
  • Good understanding of process automation, control systems.
  • Excellent Analytical skills - ability to interpret data and propose solutions
  • To be an open-minded in solving problems and work as a team
  • Effective communication to work in a multi cultural work force
  • Promote new ideas and benchmark technologies in the process.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Daily review, follow up and provide feedback to the operators regarding the actions related to major process line control to ensure their continuous on the job learning.
  • Analyze operations of the Plant and make recommendations for process improvement including Cost/Benefit Analysis.
  • Responsible for New System Implementation.
  • Provide leadership and ensure communication within a team environment to achieve the production objectives.
  • Help in the major turnarounds in terms of labor and refractory.
  • Coordinate and facilitate key decision making and problem solving with the team when dealing with mechanical, electrical, process, quality, productivity or manpower related problems.
  • Protect the plant's equipment and maximize its utilization and reliability.
  • Ensure that all environmental guidelines are followed and Minimize the amount of non-compliance product.
  • Produce the forecasted quantities and quality of raw mix, clinker and cement.
  • Initiates, organizes, plan and conduct trainings to the CRO in the form of courses, workshops, seminars, coaching, etc.
  • Serves as a technical resource for programs that are developed and presented locally, Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of those programs.
  • Interacts with external training consultants to identify and customize course objectives and content.
  • Monitors the progress of The CRO and plan accordingly.
  • Ensures alignment of SOP's with accepted control strategies and best practices
  • Provide coverage for the Production Manager and the Production Coordinator.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Mechanical, Mining, Material, industrial Eng).

Qualifications:

  • 3- 10 years of cement processing plant experience
