Detroit Area Agency on Aging
Planner (R&D)
Serves as a key planning and information specialist in analyzing data for health, aging and wellness.
Monitors demographic trends, census data, community needs and service gaps to support planning and program development efforts.
Responsible for backing up Associate Planner in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and year-end data in Mon Ami and NAPIS for DAAA and the State of Michigan.
Assists departments in the creation of new programs and services to address existing and emerging needs.
Gathers input from persons served and other community stakeholders to shape the agency's plans.
Assist in providing Vice President and Associate Planner with data for the Long-Range Planning Committee and Strategic Planning meetings and discussions.
Assists in preparation of Grant Applications and Request for Proposals/Quotes in collaboration with Planning and Program Development Division.
Serve as a community liaison on planning bodies and civic organizations including preparation of public testimony.
Plan, execute and attend community forums, focus groups and public hearings to engage older adults, caregivers, service providers and other groups in planning activities.
Support the development of strategies to address health, senior housing, home repair, transportation, and other social determinants of health.
Analyze program data and prepare appropriate recommendations and reports to the President and CEO and Vice President of Planning and Program Development.
Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned.
