ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sr. Associate, Registration & Regulatory Compliance is a headquarters-based role that supports US state and Caribbean regulatory activities for the Pest Control team in Racine. This position offers the chance to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the development and launch of innovative pest control products under renowned brands like OFF!®, Raid®, and STEM®. Your expertise will be pivotal in expanding our pest control product portfolio and driving company growth. In this role, you will provide analysis, advice, and expertise in regulatory and registration matters, including regulatory review, registration and data management, and external data submissions for pest control products. This role demands flawless execution and delivery of comprehensive compliance activities, including formula review, finished product review, SDS generation, label approvals, process and data management, and coordination of documentation and submissions to external agencies and governments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represents SC Johnson at trade associationsand provides comments on emerging issues and regulations concerning pest products
  • Actively shapes pest product regulations through advocacy efforts with trade associations and direct interactions with authorities
  • Identifies and ensures compliance to applicable regulationsand performance standards for pest control product registrations, renewals, and distribution in the US and Caribbean
  • Manages regulatory consultants
  • Represents the registration groupon cross-functional product development teams to support product launches for Caribbean
  • Reviews and approves artworkfor assigned products, including brand market labels, digital assets, formulas, and finished goods
  • Prepares and submits product notifications/registrationswith relevant US state and Caribbean Authorities, as well as regulatory/registration reports, forms, and pays applicable fees prior to deadlines to ensure continued regulatory compliance
  • Develops registration strategiesaligned with business objectives
  • Oversees the securing and renewalof US state and Caribbean registrations for pest control products.
  • Provides timely and accurate documentation, communication, and supportfor the initial registration and subsequent maintenance of products in the US and Caribbean
  • Maintains, utilizes, and contributes to the development of tools(templates, databases, spreadsheets) and processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of registration processes and reporting

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field (biochemistry, biology, chemistry, entomology, or related scientific field)
  • 3+ years of experience preferably in regulatory, registration, safety, quality, product development, or related field
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of current U.S. Federal (EPA), 25b, devices and state regulations governing sales, distribution, import, export, and use of registered products under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and Caribbean islands
  • Communicates regulatory issues clearly and succinctly, ensuring the message is easily understood to colleagues outside of regulatory functions
  • Works harmoniously with others, contributing to team efforts and sharing responsibilities
  • Skilled in reaching mutually beneficial agreements by understanding and addressing the interests of all parties involved
  • Demonstrates the ability to inspire and motivate others towards achieving common goals
  • Quickly identifies issues and develops effective solutions to maintain operational continuity
  • Excellent prioritization, project management, and critical thinking skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time; Monday to Friday during Core Office hours
  • Minimum 10% travel
  • Remote work is available once per week for eligible employees
  • This role is not eligible for relocation assistance
