Engineering Mgr - Technical Knowledge Platform (Administrative)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team of frontend and backend web developers, overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of our knowledge application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern web development practices, DevOps, and experience with GitLab CI/CD processes and F5 Distributed Cloud Distributed Application features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of frontend and backend developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.

  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of new features and enhancements to our SaaS application, focusing on delivering modern, adaptable, and frictionless user experiences.

  • Ensure the application is scalable, reliable, and secure, leveraging best practices in DevOps and use of F5 Distributed Cloud services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and prioritize development tasks.

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, ensuring efficient and automated testing and deployment processes.

  • Utilize F5 Distributed Cloud features to optimize application performance and security.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our development practices and application capabilities.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong experience in web development with technologies such as Next.js, React, and Java.

  • Proficiency in API design and development, including integrations with third-party services.

  • Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation.

  • Knowledge of cloud hosting platforms and their associated services.

  • Familiarity with AI agent development and integration into SaaS applications.

  • Understanding of SaaS platform development, including scalability and reliability considerations.

  • Experience in implementing modern, adaptable, and frictionless user experiences through a composable user interface, ensuring seamless integration and flexibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD and F5 Distributed Cloud Distributed Application features.

  • Background in leading high-performing development teams.

  • Strong understanding of modern web development best practices and DevOps methodologies.

The annual base pay for this position is: $157,904.00 - $236,856.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5's differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
