The company, headquartered in Champaign, Illinois, owns and operates a network of full-service Case IH agricultural and Case construction equipment stores throughout Illinois and western Indiana. The Birkey's network serves the Illinois communities of Annawan, Arthur, Bloomington, Casey, Galesburg, Gibson City, Henry, Hoopeston, Macomb, Mattoon, Newton, Oakland, Polo, Prophetstown, Shelbyville, and Urbana, as well as Williamsport, IN.

About the role:

This opportunity is for a Store Manager role in Williamsport, IN . This position will report directly to the Regional Manager and will facilitate conversations with their Parts, Service and Sales teams to ultimately drive revenue and client satisfaction.  This role will have a sole focus on coaching, training, mentoring and supervising all departments.

The ideal candidate for our Store Manager role will be a natural leader, be extremely effective at managing time and be effective at prioritizing roles and responsibilities.  The Store Manager must be a self-starter, highly motivated, have a track record of compelling people to take action and be a fanatic when it comes to process implementation.

In addition, candidates must:

  • Have prior success managing teams of people with both long and short tenure.
  • Have demonstrated success managing the entire sales pipeline.
  • Be able to hold employees accountable to their behaviors and goals, while also coaching others to gain efficiencies in their roles.
  • Be technically savvy and understand how to utilize technology, reporting and data to their advantage.
  • Have the ability to motivate people and compel them to step out of their comfort zones.
  • Be highly coachable themselves with strong levels of self-responsibility.
  • Be goal oriented and hyper focused on maintaining relationships both internally and externally while driving results.

Education/Experience: 

Individual should have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.  Should be able to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understand and carry-out oral and written directions. Must have the ability to maintain high degree of motivation in team members to retain focus of providing highest level of customer satisfaction.

The individual should have 2 – 4 years of related experience, steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.

  • Ability to get around the dealership and grounds for various tasks.

  • Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary.
  • Must meet health assessment requirements.
