SR ANALYST CREDIT - HYBRID (Administrative)
Recommends and reviews credit review points for new and existing accounts; reviews established accounts to determine compliance with credit limits and payment terms; analyzes financial statements, credit reports, security documents and Letters of Credit to maximize credit extension while managing True Value Company's risk; analyzes Retail Growth and DTV projects for risk analysis, proper financing, and sufficient capitalization; travels with Retail Consultants and Retail Growth associates consulting with Members on financial performance and growth opportunities; follows up on inactive and legal accounts to assure maximum cost-effective efforts are being applied to collect balances after a full cost-benefit analysis of options; reviews and monitors notes receivable accounts to effect collections; assists Members with claims and disputes.
Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
1. Take an active involvement in review and analysis of DTV, Retail Growth and Conversion projects, interfacing with Sales Managers and Sales Reps to ensure proper financing, sufficient capitalization, and accurate risk management.
2. Perform financial statement analysis of new and existing stores to determine financial strength, credit line, security requirements and risk analysis, consulting with Sales Managers/Sales Reps on analysis of operational challenges on new/existing Members
3. Review and approve orders after verifying Member payment status, financial position and True Value security position
4. Monitor and collect outstanding debt as directed on Active/Inactive past due accounts.
5. Prepare, process, file and maintain security documentation where required (UCC-1, UCC-3, L/C's, Collateral Deposits.)
6. Initiate and follow up on Letters of Credit, collateral deposits, wire transfers, cash applications and reconciliation of funds
7. Maintain existing portfolio of account files with current financial information, business credit reports, and personal credit bureau reports
8. Responsible for performing customer account reconciliation to include the identification of account statement items and communicating the status of open items to members, etc.
9. Administration and follow up of all inactive and legal accounts
10. Contact accounts, vendors and freight forwarders as necessary to resolve disputed invoices
11. Strong Excel skills, heavily involved with monthly reserve calculations, quarterly deck preparation for executive management and ad hock report requests as needed.
Education & Experience
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
· 3-5 years of experience, preferably in Finance.
· Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
