Program Manager (Finance)



Workforce Solutions is seeking candidates for this role to be experienced in running large technology initiatives/programs. You will work with leadership and BU to deliver detailed designs for business cases and initiatives across the company. Perform comprehensive risk management, including governing the risk and issue process (identification, mitigation, escalation), and define program controls and governance (processes, procedures, reporting, and policies). Monitor and communicate program/initiative measures of success, plans, status, issues, and risks to team members, stakeholders, and senior management in a timely manner. This role requires the ability to collect and analyze process data; measure the effectiveness of existing business processes; and lead efforts to develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements. You will research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and recommend applicable business process improvement opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Manage highly complex, cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives, including overall program budgeting, objectives, planning, execution, operations management, reporting, and leading the design and implementation of strategic business initiatives.
  • Drive program execution and strategy across multiple functional areas, large Business Units (BU's), regions, or the enterprise.
  • Perform comprehensive risk management, including governing the risk and issue process (identification, mitigation, escalation), and define program controls and governance (processes, procedures, reporting, and policies).
  • Monitor and communicate program/initiative measures of success, plans, status, issues, and risks to team members, stakeholders, and senior management in a timely manner.
  • Direct resources, stakeholders, and deliverables aligned across multiple interdependent projects.
  • Ensure program deliverables align with desired outcomes and support business initiatives and strategies.
  • Develop short and long-term delivery strategies while outlining assumptions, success drivers, dependencies, expected outcomes, and strategic alternatives.
  • Lead budget discussions with year-end goals in mind. Present solutions to maximize profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Support management of security exceptions, risk assessments, new development security assessments, and similar processes.
  • Collaborate with risk detection and audit planning.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a point of contact for security concerns, assisting with issue resolution and investigations.
  • Identify industry best practices and recommend program/security updates or changes as needed.
  • Analyze business processes, identify intelligent automation opportunities, define AI solution value proposition, reengineer processes to improve automation potential, and recommend AI-powered approaches.
  • Design and implement intelligent automation solutions and/or create/investigate/roll out tools to optimize and innovate business processes.
  • Select processes for intelligent automation, gathering requirements, designing, presenting the projects, and rolling out the solutions to end users.
  • Collect process data; analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes, leading efforts to develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
  • Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and recommend applicable business process improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate planning activities for the team.
  • Facilitate budget activities for the team.
  • Manage time tracking governance activities for the team (ensuring proper codes are changed, time is submitted and approved, etc.).

What experience you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program/project management, with a focus on Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with AI technologies or a strong eagerness to learn and apply new AI advancements.
  • Highly analytical professional with expertise in strategic planning, business partnership, and consulting, adept at execution and technical communication to drive results.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience to operate independently with limited guidance and oversight
  • Ability to apply a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems
  • Decision-making within guidelines and policies that impact a range of customer, operational, process, or project activities
  • Experience in developing work plans for short-term assignments of moderate complexity
  • Proficiency in process data collection, analysis, and measurement for business process improvement
  • Experience in researching best business practices for process improvement recommendations
  • Experience in analyzing business processes, identifying intelligent automation opportunities, and defining AI solution value propositions
  • Expertise in designing and implementing intelligent automation solutions and tools for process optimization
  • Ability to select processes for intelligent automation, gather requirements, design, present projects, and roll out solutions to end-users

What could set you apart
  • Data Analysis & Scripting: Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and derive actionable insights. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python/JavaScript, ) for data manipulation, automation, and reporting.
  • Advanced Spreadsheet Proficiency: Expert-level command of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, array formulas), pivot tables, and data visualization.
  • Coding & Automation: Familiarity with programming concepts and the ability to write clean, efficient code for process automation, data extraction, or light application development. Experience with APIs and integrating different systems is a plus.
  • SQL Proficiency: Solid understanding of relational databases and the ability to write SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
  • Process Optimization: Demonstrated experience in identifying process inefficiencies and implementing technical solutions to streamline workflows and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Data Visualization Tools: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) to create compelling dashboards and reports.
