Insurance Specialist (Finance)



This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with one to three years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.   • Tracks and follows up on status of claims.

  • Tracks and follows up on scheduled meetings and appointments.

  • Creates and maintains insurance claims files to include all related documents.
  • \n
  • Responds to and researches answers to requests for information or clarification.
  • \n
  • Corresponds with, provides updates to and coordinates communication between appropriate individuals involved with a particular claim.
  • \n
  • Maintains required reporting logs and/or databases.
  • \n
  • Compiles, creates and maintains reports of insurance claims data/statistics and other related reports.
  • \n
  • Advises and provides training on insurance and claims related issues.
  • \n
  • Resolves problems/complaints related to insurance processes.
