Maintenance Support - Temporary (Information Technology)



Position primarily works in an administrative office setting with the choice of Anchorage, AK, or Cordova, AK. Support will be provided at the remote salmon hatcheries to assist with maintenance responsibilities. While stationed at a remote hatchery, room and board are provided in a dorm-style setting.Position Title: Maintenance Support

Customary Work Hours: 8:00 - 5:00, Monday - Friday occasional weekend work
Supervisor's Title: Chief Maintenance Manager

Basic Function: Works with Chief Maintenance Manager to support Maintenance Team and Initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities: This position is responsible to train new employees in CMMS, edit and provide work orders using PWSAC CMMS systems. Support and provide technical expertise to onsite maintenance, including safety protocols.

Description of essential duties and responsibilities:

Audit PM's and work orders in CMMS and edit as per assigned schedule
Enter data into Company provided computer software systems
Orient new Maintenance staff as assigned
Follow PWSAC safety protocol, call all stop to work of others when needed
Provide coverage for hatchery sites for short term vacancies
Provide troubleshooting technical support as assigned
Complete progress reports
Other duties as assigned


Essential Functions:
Work performed both in an office and construction site setting, may be exposed to inclement and cold seasonal weather and hostile wildlife. Must be able to move about freely; ability to lift and carry 50 pounds; ability to climb ladders, board and be transported in small planes and boats and access tight spaces without assistance to repair items; manipulate small tools and items to complete work; use telephones and computers unimpaired. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Must be able to hear and see to identify item identifying marks and to receive verbal and written instructions. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild, however may be occasionally high depending on the project. Must be able to complete work on computers and electronic devices
