Lead, Software Engineer (Information Technology)

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and test our new modernized Group Insurance Contracts solution. The ideal candidate should possess full stack skills and must be comfortable working in various programming environments such as Web, APIs, SharePoint plug-ins, CI/CD pipelines, document composition templates, and AWS.  They will need to partner with multiple teams to ensure data is mapped correctly and successfully populating Group Insurance Contracts.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technology, architecture, product management, and design teams to develop solutions to business challenges.
  • Craft original code for a comprehensive AWS-based API solution to support contract creation, ensuring software meets business requirements effectively.
  • Implement features, enhancements, and bug fixes, along with conducting unit, automation, integration, regression, smoke, and functional testing to optimize software performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as necessary.
  • Support features across all environments and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Address code defects throughout its lifecycle and employ automation testing to ensure scalable development.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing and designing applications.
  • Foster an Iterative/Agile environment utilizing Jira Align, Cloud, and Xray.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Strong back-end development skills in languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
  • Front-end development experience in React (preferred) or Angular.
  • Experience building scalable solutions in AWS.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Open Text, and/or Quadient is advantageous.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $138,500.00 to $206,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
