Senior Program Director of Academic Programs - Community Development (Project Management)

Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs staff and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
Establishes new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations. May review and process program scholarship applications.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
May assist with Program Committee meetings.
Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs.
Co-develop evaluation plan and report on key programmatic metrics to association and relevant stakeholders.
Participate in a wide range of community events, program management teams and coalitions to build connectivity and capacity in our work.
Oversee program development and project implementation with a wide range of partners while maintaining the highest level of communication with staff, volunteers, partners, branches andleadership.
Cultivate and maintain community partnerships with schools and other organizations that support Community Development's overarching vision that all youth graduate high school ready for the next step in their lives.
Engage in grant writing and reporting as necessary
Plan, develop and implement program training for staff and volunteers in our key focus areas (academic success, teen leadership, STEAM, health equity)
Develops, implements, and manages operating plans to promote program and/or membership growth for the YMCA. Measures progress against strategic goals and ensures continuous improvement.
Assures compliance with state and local regulations. Ensures that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
Develops and controls department budgets related to the position so that resources are devoted to top priorities and strategic objectives.
Uses data to analyze financial trends and forecast future financial progress for the organization.
Hires, trains, and supervises staff and volunteers in assigned areas.
Organizes people and activities for efficiencies and effectiveness.
Ensures high quality member-focused programs through innovative program development, demonstrating courageous and intelligent risk taking with awareness of societal, economic, and politicalissues and their impact on the strategic direction of the organization.
Rewards and recognizes new and relevant ideas and approaches even if not successful.
May serve in leadership position within various PMTs
Performs all other duties as assigned.
