What You'll Do:

Position Overview:

The Assistant Manager Portfolio and Underwriting will monitor, analyze and protect TRICOM's portfolio of receivable collateral by managing and assisting in the collection of our staffing client's accounts receivables; while maximizing the accounts receivable performance, minimize and prevent delinquencies and bad debt write-offs. Supervise, train, and provide guidance to the Portfolio Analyst staff.  Serve as a back up to the Chief Credit Officer with working knowledge of all Portfolio Management and Underwriting activities.

  • Timely, effective, and professional client communication and customer Accounts Receivable collection activities using appropriate advanced persuasion, negotiation, follow-up and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to effectively manage collections activities of more complex accounts and carry a larger portfolio of accounts.

  • Fluent in navigating, extracting, and analyzing data from Vendor Management Systems (VMS) software and effectively directing collection activities in accordance with the information obtained.

  • Work with, assist, and motive the Portfolio Management team to prioritize conflicting demands and escalate accounts receivables concerns while using excellent organizational and time-management skills to accommodate rapidly changing priorities to meeting company customer service standards and one-hour response time.

  • Assist, educate, and guide clients and Portfolio Analyst's in effective accounts receivables management, trend analysis, collection techniques and TRICOM expectations and protocol through appropriate analysis of risk criteria present in the assigned portfolio of accounts receivable.

  • Supervise, train, and provide guidance to the Portfolio Analyst staff.  Serve as the back up to the Chief Credit Officer as necessary.  Assist the Chief Credit Officer in managing the Accounts Receivables and Underwriting activities.

  • Communicate orally and draft concise written communication using appropriate spelling and grammar.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years Portfolio Management and Underwriting

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting

  • CCP or CBCA certification preferred but not required.

  • Business-to-Business Accounts Receivable Collection and/or Cash Application experience required. Prior experience training and leading employees preferred.

  • Advanced Computer Skills

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $59,000-$77,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
