Sales Narrative Design Lead, Yahoo Ads (Finance)

We are seeking a Sales Narrative Design Lead, Yahoo Ads to join our team and play a critical role in supporting our direct sales force to drive revenue and growth. In this role, you will work to set the visual tone for our go to market materials for our Yahoo Ads team at large. You will raise the bar for client-facing slides and materials by bringing a strong design POV that embraces Yahoo's personality and brand ethos, while creating templates that allow us to scale quickly.

A strong design background, communication and problem-solving skills, plus a solid understanding of digital advertising are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the high-level owner of our sales Go To Market materials look & feel, informed by our marketing team's look & feel, but adapted for client-facing sales needs.
  • Serve as the designer for key priority Yahoo Ads narratives defined by leadership.
  • Develop advanced template slides that our team of narrative leads can leverage when developing client vertical narratives or capabilities slides, and when necessary, serve as the final draft designer for these key materials.
  • Develop advanced template slides strategists can borrow from when developing RFP responses.
  • Develop novice template slides ADs can use for tailored client prospecting needs.
  • Lead training sessions to empower team's main slide builders to level up their design skills, and train novice slide builders on how to find & leverage templates.
  • Support the team's operational excellence through process documentation, recording demos, or building FAQs that can strategically help everyone build great slides.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption of materials and design guidelines.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the materials our team is taking to market, & distill findings into actionable design tips & scalable approaches.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience in digital design (with an emphasis in sales narratives or go to market materials) ideally as a graphic designer or art director.
  • Experience working with a publisher ad creative team, branded content studio, advertising agency, design studio or editorial publishing company.
  • Skilled proficiency in working with Google Slides & Google Drive applications & Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and other key design platforms. Brings a point of view on how the application of AI can help scale our design discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - you can make a clear case for what you're doing and why (especially to our executive leaders). You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and can speak sales with the same fluency that you can speak engineering, product and design.
  • Solid analytical, decision-making, time management and problem solving skills. You're pragmatic, not precious.
  • Ability to use visual design cues to convey Yahoo's brand personality while telling a compelling story that speaks to clients' goals.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate design principles into novice friendly tips & tricks.
  • Exceptional project management skills, particularly managing complex projects with stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Ability to simplify complex information and familiarity with data visualization
  • Product/UX and Ad Mock experience a bonus

The compensation for this position ranges from $122,625.00 - $255,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
