Technical Rental Solutions Specialist (Sales)



As the Technical Rental Solutions Specialist, you will manage rental projects for our end users from concept to completion. This position will also serve as the go-to technical resource for our entire rental sales and project management team and for customers seeking expert support no matter what the customer base.

The Technical Rental Solutions Specialist will spend 75% of their time on Direct to End User projects, 15% of their time on being a Technical Resource for the team and 10% of their time on Training and Onboarding. This position will also provide guidance to the sales and project management team, helping them build their expertise to better serve our customers. Overall, this position blends hands-on project leadership, team training, and strategic business development to drive revenue growth for the rentals division.

Project Lifecycle Ownership: Lead and coordinate end user opportunities concept to competition including initial needs assessment, solution design, coordination with other SSS business units, logistics, execution, and project close-out.

Business Development & Revenue Growth: Serve as the go-to expert for qualifying rental leads, both from internal sources and web-generated inquiries, ensuring each lead is properly assessed and optimized to maximize revenue potential. and training with re-rent customers by leveraging technical expertise to secure new deals and deeper partnerships.

Cross Sell: Promote the other Sunbelt Solomon business units during initial rental needs assessment and solution design.

Technical Training & Mentorship: Serve as the go-to technical resource for the rental sales team and customers, providing expert guidance, training, and mentorship.

Revenue from End-User Customers: Growth in rental sales revenue generated from end-user clients (measured monthly against targets).

Technical Training for Re-Rent Customers: Delivery of technical training presentations to re-rent customers, ensuring they understand and can effectively use our solutions as needed. (Success can be measured by the number of training sessions delivered, customer engagement, and feedback on the training effectiveness. KPI Number of opportunities created after training)

Training & Onboarding Completion: Providing rental sales team members with overview of Sunbelt Solomon and offerings to be able to confidently speak to Sunbelt Solomon capabilities with customers. This role will travel quarterly to either Sharon or Conroe for an in-depth training with PM/Jr PM on qualifying opportunities based on product type, application, and specific shop instruction when applicable. Bi-Monthly virtually on a specific product type. (KPI e.g. 100% of new hires trained within their first 90 days).

Travel: The expectation is to be out of town 30-40% of the time. This could be for tradeshows, customer site visits, presentations, etc.

Other duties as may be required to support the team as required by the Companys needs.
