Shipping - Material Handler (Finance)

We are excited to welcome a Material Handler (internally called a Packer/Shipper) to our Delphos, OH team! Join us in our mission to rid the world of rubber waste!

Pay Range: Starting at $17/hr and up, based on experience

1st-Shift: Mon-Thu: 6:00a-4:30p

Summary: This position is responsible for inspecting and packing orders, and loading/unloading trucks or transporting orders to main shipping department. This position will move finished product to an inventory location, supply production lines with raw materials. Additional responsibilities will include assistance with creating SOP, inventory data-entry and cross-training into other job functions as needed. This position requires routine attendance to departmental, production, safety and Company meetings.

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Operate forklift, skid loader, and hand jack with minimal supervision to transport raw materials and finished products while adhering to all power industrial equipment rules and safety requirements
  • Load and unload trucks; move finished goods to staging area
  • Complete daily fork truck inspection and report any maintenance issues immediately to supervisor and maintenance department
  • Utilize computer and handheld scanner to login, perform inventory checks including item counts and reporting
  • Record weight, pallet size and location for orders and scan to shipping
  • Maintain clean work environment by disposing of trash appropriately and operating sweeper machine

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED or 4 years of machine operator/manufacturing experience required
  • 1+ years of previous forklift experience; Forklift certification preferred
  • Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, confined spaces, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands
  • Ability to read and understand units of measure and perform basic math functions
  • Demonstrated comfort with data entry and basic computer skills; ERP experience preferred
  • Must be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
  • Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements
