Procurement Manager (Finance)



Saalex Corporation is seeking a Procurement Manager, responsible for leading and overseeing the company's procurement and supply chain operations in accordance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS), company policies, and DoD contract requirements. This role ensures cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining compliance, quality, and performance standards across all procurement activities.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $85k-$95k annually (depending upon experience)

Work Location: This is a hybrid position or on-site work environment, depending on company policy in Rockledge, FL. Occasional travel may be required for vendor meetings or program support.

Essential functions:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of procurement activities for direct and indirect purchases in support of DoD contracts.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate purchase orders, subcontracts, and vendor agreements in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including CPSR requirements and internal procurement policies.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships to ensure performance, pricing, and delivery schedules meet project needs.
  • Maintain procurement records, justifications, price/cost analyses, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Lead supplier evaluations, risk assessments, and periodic reviews of vendor performance.
  • Work closely with program managers, finance, legal, and contracts teams to align procurement strategy with project requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, including DCAA and DCMA reviews.
  • Analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and lead time issues to mitigate procurement delays and cost impacts.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Required:

  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in federal government contracting procurement, including DoD.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific supplements.
  • Proven experience managing supplier negotiations, contracts, and procurement compliance.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, or similar), and Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired:
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPCM, CFCM, CPSM, PMP), preferred.
  • Experience with DCMA Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR).

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.

Security Clearance:

Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
