Automation Engineer (Finance)
GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION:
The Automation Engineer responsibilities include supporting and implementing project requiring high levels of automation. The AE will provide engineering support from the writing of equipment business requirements through the bidding process and eventual implementation of each project. The AE must view projects through a strategic lens assessing the impact on the Deckers network.
To be a successful Automation Engineer you should be able to derive insights from large amounts of data that support and guide optimal project performance. You should also be meticulous when it comes to preparing documentation and reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Automation Engineer interfaces extensively with Operations leadership, Engineering, Facility Maintenance and vendors to improve Decker's ROI as it is related to CAPEX and OPEX projects. This includes, but is not limited to improving customer SLAs, reducing labor costs and driving improvement in overall CPU.
The Project Analyst will craft regular presentations to senior management communicating key take-aways from multiple initiatives and offering data to support decisions to be made.
The PA will develop and recommend measurement plans to ensure improvements are repeatable and realized, supports with communication of workplace safety precautions.
The AE position collaborates with operations, and other internal Deckers teams to support and contribute to Green Initiatives. Ensures projects are executed in a responsible and safe manner.
As an Automation Engineer, you will drive automation projects designed to improve overall organizational performance. You will leverage your organization skills, problem solving, and creative thinking to resolve escalated issues and drive continuous process improvement in a dynamic environment. You will support with other job duties as needed. Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, and others. Always represent the company in a positive and supportive manner.
