Measurement Foreman (Finance)

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the repair, install, troubleshoot and perform other predictive and preventative maintenance tasks on assigned measurement and ancillary natural gas and liquids equipment.
  • Supervise witness meter performance verifications as performed by 3rd party contractors.
  • Manage the inspection & replacement of orifice plates for Gas Meters.
  • Direct the required meter calibrations and adhere to client's standards of documentation.
  • Oversee the maintenance of measurement devices. This includes calibration, installation, troubleshooting and communications.
  • Supervise the technicians taking samples for crude and water production.
  • Manage the provision of water and crude meters for the upstream and midstream sectors.

Minimum Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training

  • Relevant technical degree or trade school certificate in electronics or instrumentation is preferred but not required. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree/education requirements.
  • At least 10 years of experience in upstream and midstream measurement is preferred.
  • Advanced experience in the operation and programming of various flow computers such as ABB Totalflow, Emerson, autopilot, etc.
  • Advanced experience with configuring and calibrating Coriolis, turbine and mag meters.
  • Advanced experience with the maintenance and operation of a LACT units.
  • Advanced understating of oil & gas process.
  • The ability to walk, stand, kneel/stoop and drive for extended periods.
  • Understanding of radio communications equipment.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a team of measurement technicians.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook).
  • Must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, technical, and functional skills with the ability to multi-task and be willing to learn.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively, take direction, work well in a team environment, and interact with all levels of management, engineering, systems, operations and field personnel.
  • Strong leadership experience.
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility in managing multiple projects.

Work conditions:

  • Position will work 25% in the office and 75% in the field. Subject to time pressures and constraints and is also dependent on input from others.
