Senior Catering Manager - Palmer House a Hilton Hotel (Finance)




Exciting opportunity in Chicago! Join our dynamic team at the iconic Palmer House a Hilton Hotel. We are looking for a Senior Catering Manager to join our team.

The salary for this role is $72,500 based on applicable specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As a Senior Catering Manager at The Palmer House, you would be responsible for Responsible for the successful execution of written sales agreement for large scale and complex Social Catering Events over 50 guests.

  • Maintains liaison between customer and their representatives and the hotel by directing each hotel department as to their specific role in the pre-planning and execution of on-site social event.
  • Maximizes revenues and controls expenses through effective negotiation of prices, services, and accurate forecasting.
  • Responsible for successful execution of event and customer satisfaction to ensure customer remains loyal and books future business with hotel company.
  • Direct and supervise meeting and/or catering logistics to catering and event services managers and other affected departments and team members responsible for event execution.
  • Provide guidance to Catering Managers to help ensure events are executed as planned.
  • Creatively design menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience.
  • Prepare and present catering forecasts and reports as required by Director of Catering.
  • Coordinate with Dir. of Catering in formal planning for and execution of significant events at the hotel.
