Surgery Assistant - 3/4 (Healthcare)
OBJECTIVE
In a positive and cheerful manner, support and work alongside the Physician and other members of the surgical team to provide an outstanding patient experience. Work with the team to assure that the PCLI philosophy of quality and caring treatment of patients and staff is upheld in all daily surgical activities. Assist Circulator, Scrub and Physician by cleaning surgical instruments and providing sterilized instruments for each case.

STATUS
3/4 Time (30-39 hours per week)
SCHEDULE
Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Depending on work location, employee may be required to report to work between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on scheduled days.
Availability to work between these days and hours REQUIRED: Monday-Thursday 6:00 am-6:30 pm
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Attention to detailÂ
- Good communication skills-written and verbal and legible handwriting
- Pleasant, caring, cooperative attitude
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Excellent problem solving skills
- The ability to work with a team and to achieve common goals
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
- Neat, clean appearance
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strength and balance adequate to assist handicapped patients as necessary
- Ability to work occasional long hours with limited breaks
- Good hearing and visual acuity
- Must have distance vision of 20/40 with or without correction. Correction must be worn while at work
- Able to sit/stand for long periods of time
ADDITIONAL TRAINING
- WA Surgical Tech License - training & fee provided (WA, POR, TUA, LEW)
- WA Medical Assistant License fee provided
