Asst Dir Athletics Comm Engagement & Adv (Finance)



The Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Advertising position will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel advertising campaigns across radio, TV, podcasts, Digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising, and digital platforms to support USF Athletics. This role will manage campaigns from initial briefing through delivery and post-campaign reporting, ensuring all creative assets are developed in coordination with internal teams and delivered to media partners on time. The manager will monitor campaign performance in real-time, adjust strategies as needed, and maintain detailed calendars, timelines, and budget tracking for each initiative.

In addition to media execution, the role will spearhead local marketing efforts to drive attendance and community engagement, including partnerships with local businesses, influencer collaborations, and activations with platforms like "That's So Tampa." The manager will also oversee on-campus marketing, placing content in high-traffic areas and tracking key performance indicators related to community outreach and influencer impact. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for connecting with diverse audiences through creative and strategic marketing efforts.Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience.Working at USF

  • Plan, execute, and manage radio, TV, podcast, and DOOH campaigns from briefing through to delivery and reporting.

  • Coordinate with internal creative teams to ensure timely delivery of ad assets.

  • Coordinate and deliver all creative assets to media partners in a timely manner (videos, graphics, scripts, voiceovers, audio files)

  • Monitor campaigns for performance - make real-time adjustments as needed.

  • Track campaigns and generate post-campaign performance reports.

  • Develop and maintain campaign calendars and timelines for all placements to ensure smooth execution for every game or promotional push.

  • Track budgets and spending for each vendor, maintaining an up-to-date report of projected costs, actual spend, and invoices' status.
  • \n
  • Develop and execute local marketing campaigns that drive attendance and community interest for South Florida athletics events.\n

    • Engage with the community and local businesses to build partnerships and identify cross-promotional opportunities.

    • Manage campaign execution with local influencers and student influencers (i.e., content approvals, performance reporting)

  • Plan, execute, and manage campaigns with "That's So Tampa"
  • \n
  • Lead on campus marketing activations, including placing content on TVs around campus buildings, placing print materials in strategic community and campus locations.

  • Track and report on community engagement KPIs, influencer metrics, and outreach performance.
