Summary
Experienced, solution-driven marine insurance professional responsible for overseeing all aspects of Crowley's marine and casualty risk management and insurance programs. This role leads the procurement and administration of marine insurance coverage, ensures alignment with business objectives, and supports contract negotiations involving risk and indemnity provisions. While the primary focus is on marine-related risks, the Director also provides leadership and support in the administration of non-marine insurance programs and related projects, as directed by the VP of Risk Management. The Director maintains critical relationships with brokers, underwriters, and P&I Clubs, acting as a key advisor to Crowley business units. Reporting to the VP of Risk Management, and ultimately to the General Counsel, the role requires deep expertise in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating marine-related risks through effective risk transfer strategies. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential.
