SUMMARY: Responsible for connecting business unit goals to the corporations long-range strategic plans.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts complex studies, prepares reports, develops strategic and valuation models, identifies key performance drivers, and advises on feasibility and cost-optimization. Reviews and evaluates materials, financial statements, monthly reports and market analyses. Provides analysis to support decision making in all matters operational, financial and strategic. Organizes and analyzes data from all sources, using statistical methods to ensure validity of results such as budgets, forecasts, project plans, and business cases. Recommends capital allocations to enhance profitability and incorporates recommendations for review by senior management. Creates visuals and analysis for executive level presentation and external parties. Assists with due diligence for mergers and acquisitions activity and capital raising projects. Assess the organizations overall financial health utilizing key performance indicators and financial ratios. Evaluates whether company's assets are the best use of working capital. Evaluates company's product portfolio and performs profit analysis on varying lines of service. Performs cost efficiency and optimization studies. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
EXPERIENCE: 3 years of professional business experience, preferably in the transportation industry, with an emphasis on strategic and financial planning, analysis and special projects. MBA/ MSF preferred.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
• Building dynamic three-statement models, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency, including use of nested formulas, pivot tables, index-match, and data visualization for executive-ready outputs.
• Using IRR (leveraged and unleveraged), NPV, payback period, and WACC for investment decision-making.
• Experience with Python in excel.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing for executive audience. Utilize both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines. Ability to develop and implement long range financial plans/or strategy. Ability to develop, improve and streamline processes to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Knowledge of the concept, principles and practices of management.
OTHER: Must excel in all areas of strategy development, including critical thinking, project management, business analysis, solutioning, consensus building, and people development. Must be detail oriented and excel in financial statement analysis, modeling and valuation techniques.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
