Land Surveying CAD Technician (Finance)
Uses established workflows and procedures for the development and editing of survey products
Assists in developing quality survey products, including geospatial accuracy, proper field procedures, accurate calculations, CADD drafting, and is responsible for product quality and accuracy
Process field survey data inclusive of traverse computations, GPS (static and RTK), surface models, and volumes
Generates accurate DTM and surfaces models via ground and aerial surveys
Assist with the data management and distribution of survey data
Research & calculate boundary and R/W lines
Processes control information, including GNSS and differential level processing
Develops control plans and surveyor's reports
Create/work in 2D and 3D CADD models, particularly Carlson Survey and Civil 3D
A good learner with the ability to take direction from the lead surveyor and work with engineers in the performance of project tasks.
Communicate frequently with the Project Manager, Supervisor, and project team members.
Keep Task Leader informed of workload, provide updates on project progress.
Responsible for accuracy of plans, quality presentation, thoroughness and follow-through, and conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standards under the direction of task and project leaders.
Ability to work on boundary, topographic, and control surveys and construction stakeout for various development projects
Prepare boundary, subdivision, easement plats, and legal descriptions
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in the surveying industry
Experience with AutoCAD 2016 or later
Proficient in Carlson Survey or AutoCAD Civil 3D
Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills, and experience with the field to finish survey computations, plats, and survey deliverables
Experience with survey and engineering design packages such as MicroStation/InRoads/ OpenRoads, Carlson and Civil3D
Experience with Point Cloud data and TopoDOT a plus
