Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (Project Management)

Support the company's mission statement and sales goals by maintaining a high-level of customer service through developing new customer relationships and retaining and expanding existing business. Support the application of general accepted accounting principles, theories, concepts and practices for the management of the budgeting, forecasting and cost accounting functions of the Company and subsidiaries. Support planning, organizing, coordinating and maintaining of the company's profitability reporting; including product, customer and organization profitability. Assist the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis in other areas such as balance sheet management, risk management and various other projects to enhance the financial soundness of the Company.
• Assist coordination of the budget and forecasting processes including budget formulation, monitoring, and presentations to management
• The position will work closely with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Chief Financial Officer and other executives as appropriate to compile and analyze the data necessary to present a complete budget and ongoing forecasts for management and the Board of Directors
• Support management of the cost accounting function of the Bank including funds transfer pricing, cost allocation methodologies and profit/cost center profitability
• Responsible for calculating product, customer, and organizational profitability and offering solutions for continuous improvement in this area, including the ongoing maintenance of the profitability and decision support models
• The position will work closely with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Chief Financial Officer and other executives as appropriate to identify trends, make recommendations on efficiencies and provide results to management
• Assist maintenance of report writer system(s) for financial statement preparation to include all measurements of actual, budget and forecast in addition to various measures of financial performance
• Assist with various outside consultants for certain system questions, enhancements and issues relative to the budgeting and forecasting process
• Perform ad hoc analyses while providing guidance in interpreting the results with line of business managers
• Develop and interpret different pro forma scenarios with various executives for new business ventures
• Develop and interpret information supporting plans and provide quarterly results to management
• Support and administration of the budget and forecasting software system to include training, access and guidance in budgeting and forecasting development
• Provide guidance to lower level accounting professionals
• Demonstrates a positive reflection of the organization in public through their actions and behaviors
• Ensure compliance standards by complying with all bank policies and procedures
• Completes other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent required. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of bank/financial institution experience including budgeting and FP&A.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Responsible for knowing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering rules, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and other laws and regulations as they pertain to the position.
