Principal Network Engineer (Finance)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions using Arista EOS and CloudVision.
• Architect and manage VMware AVI (NSX Advanced Load Balancer) deployments for application delivery and traffic management.
• Lead the configuration and lifecycle management of Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, including policy design, threat prevention, and VPNs.
• Oversee the integration and operation of Broadcom NSX for microsegmentation and virtual networking.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for network automation, configuration management, and compliance enforcement.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and DevOps teams to align network infrastructure with business and application needs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and lead root cause analysis and resolution efforts.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network performance and security.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, with at least 3 years in a principal or lead role.
• Expert-level knowledge of Arista switches, VXLAN/EVPN, and CloudVision.
• Hands-on experience with VMware AVI and Broadcom NSX in production environments.
• Deep understanding of Palo Alto PAN-OS and Fortinet FortiOS, including centralized management platforms (Panorama, FortiManager).
• Proficiency in Ansible for network automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), multicast, QoS, and network security principles.
• Experience with hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Arista ACE or equivalent
• VMware NSX/AVI certifications
• Palo Alto PCNSE
• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
• Cisco CCNP/CCIE (optional but beneficial)
• Red Hat Ansible Automation Certification
