Associate Clinician (Finance)
MSW or MA in Counseling from an accredited college or university.
Registered in the State of California as an intern or associate with the Board of Behavioral Science. OR able to obtain registered status in the State of California within 3 months of hire. Must obtain appropriate registration as a condition of continued employment.
Demonstrated communication skills in describing behaviors and interventions in writing.
Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children, youth, or young adults to provide to provide care, treatment and services.
Prior experience using a strength-based, culturally competent approach to supervision, participant care, and program management.
Experience in the areas of diagnostic assessment, individual/family/group behavioral treatment methods for target population of program.
Demonstrated ability to assess, triage, plan, and organize work and respond effectively to crisis.
Demonstrated behavioral, crisis management and family/individual/group therapy skills.
Supervised experience in providing counseling and/or psychotherapy services.
Experience with or knowledge of designing, supervising, monitoring, changing, and discontinuing individualized behavioral interventions.
Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities.
Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and/or competency with electronic clinical documentation systems.
Clean driving record; current CA driver's license Required, or ability to obtain within 10 days after hired.
Must have access to dependable transportation available and personal car insurance meeting minimum liability coverage, unless using agency vehicle.
Preferred
At least one (1) year post-graduate school experience with program target population (children, teens or young adults, individuals with serious emotional disturbances or severe mental illness or intellectual disabilities); at least one (1) year experience with program modality (example: crisis management, mobile/community-based, assertive community treatment, wraparound, etc.)
A minimum of one (1) year of post-graduate psychiatric, residential, community-based or milieu experience.
Fluency in prevailing language(s) of community where Clinician will work .
Experience with evidence-based practices relevant to the population
