Materials Requirements Planner (Biotech)

The Materials Requirements Planner (MRP) is responsible for the coordination of activities required to ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production to support the site plan. The position will convert material requirements into a material plan, issue the purchase orders and work with procurement to ensure the timely availability of all materials within the existing inventory policies. The role will be the SME in SAP as it relates to materials planning and its interactions with other departments as related to materials planning in the support of production operations. The Materials Requirements Planner will report to the Supply Planner at site level.
Key Accountabilities:
• Perform all routine tasks to convert planned order requirements into material plans through the proper SAP interfaces.
• Liaise with Supply Planner and Schedulers to ensure all material plans are up to date and responsive to changes in material requirements while identifying issues and offering proper remediations.
• Creation and maintenance of all material planning parameters in SAP in a timely manner.
• Liaise with procurement to agree conversion of the material requirements plan into Purchase Orders.
• Expediting material availability through liaison with procurement and teams involved with inbound material processing.
• The Materials Requirements Planner will develop forecasts of material requirements in the proper time fence as dictated by the business unit to ensure supply chain efficiency and effectiveness in support of business goals.
• Creation and management of material related KPIs and measures to ensure accurate understanding of material availability and performance.
• Review and recommend of disposition of slow and expiring materials.
• Function as the SME for materials requirements planning in SAP.
• Adhere to all defined Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations and seek clarification whenever Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations are either unknown or unclear
• Promptly report identified Safety and Sustainability issues, problems, deficiencies, errors, incidents, and/or opportunities to management and correct where possible
• Stop work where deemed necessary to maintain safety.

Minimum Education Level Required: Bachelors
Preferred Field of Study: Supply Chain
Minimum Years Required Experience: 3
Preferred Field of Experience: Pharma cGMP
