Manager, Maintenance (Finance)

SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the equipment maintenance and repair function.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee maintenance operations including, but not limited to, equipment inspection, damage disposition, and disposal as well as defines specifications for new equipment. Manage programs designed to improve equipment utilization and maintenance effectiveness. Manage parts and equipment inventory. Participate in vendor management, as well as the evaluation of contracts and/or lease agreements. Develop and monitor departmental productivity metrics and provides analyses and reports. Assist with staffing, budgeting and forecasting. Supervise employees, including executing performance management and facilitates operational and safety training. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field; or equivalent combination of post-high school education and experience equal to four (4) years.

EXPERIENCE: 5 - 8 years of related experience, with 3 - 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to mentor, coach, train and supervise employees. Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new processes as well as evaluate their effectiveness, develop improvements and/or recommend changes or alternatives.

Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Knowledge of purchasing, procurement, budgeting and administrative management. Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration as well as the ability to execute contracts in compliance with corporate guidelines. Knowledge of and the ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment. Knowledge of and the ability to interpret federal, state, local, and organizational safety regulations, protocols, and procedures as they pertain to chemical, hazardous waste, industrial hygiene, and/or environmental health standards.

OTHER: Valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) credential is required. Subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check to obtain your driving history.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts a single business unit/segment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time. Apply
