Event Logistics Specialist A/V (Finance)



The Event Logistics - Audio & Visual Specialist is responsible for the oversight of the building operations, events logistics and student staff during non-traditional work hours. They will support the student building managers, student staff that work nights and weekends. This position develops and creates comprehensive event experience packages to plan and help enhance the faculty, students and client experience.

The Event Logistics - Audio & Visual Specialist , specialty is supporting audio-visual and lighting needs of the Marshall student center.Minimum: This position requires a high school diploma and four years of related experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 1 Year Experience in Audio & Visual Production.

  • Serve as point of contact for Sound & Light team handling client and customer complaints and issues. Supervising and inspecting SNL setups, assisting with high-level events, Solving SNL issues that may occur during events happening throughout the building and assisting with updating student employee manuals.

  • Supervise room setups; this includes checking that they accurately reflect the reservation request, making contact with the customers, securing all equipment, and executing facility turnover at events conclusion. Utilize daily event schedule & set up worksheets to provide excellent customer service.

  • Oversee & Supervise student staff at the Marshall Student Center, with an emphasis on student development and leadership opportunities. Assist in recruitment, hiring, training and on-boarding of student staff.

  • Oversee opening, closing, clearing and securing the facility, including but not limited
    to reporting any security, maintenance or equipment issues to the proper office. Enforce Marshall Student Center and USF policies, rules and regulations & Manage
    crises that may arise such as injuries & physical confrontations.

  • Work and partner with Event Planners and Operational Team on related client or building needs to deliver high levels of customer service.
