Position Summary:

EBNHC is hiring a Materials Handler/Courier! The Materials Handler receives, stores, maintains, distributes materials and equipment in accordance with departmental policies to meet customer's needs. Performs daily tasks to ensure timely sorting and delivery of all incoming and outgoing mail. Performs courier duties as assigned or requested. Seeking a responsible individual to follow through with all mail room duties, including pick up a post office, mail sorting, delivery, collection, and processing of outgoing mail and packages. Full time Monday - Friday. Good driving record required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive all goods, inspect for damages and verify against purchase orders.
  • Distribute supplies to appropriate locations.
  • Input cost requisitions and receipts into database.
  • Assist with quarterly physical inventory.
  • Provide courteous phone coverage and respond to requests with sense of urgency.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Distributes and collects incoming mail. Collects and processes outgoing mail. Responsibilities include determining, affixing and recording postage on mail and packages.
  • Maintain stockroom area making sure that room is clean, safe and orderly.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years' work experience preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid MA driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must be able to push/pull hand truck and lift boxes.
  • Must be able to lift mail bins and coolers.
