Analytical Support Engineer (Finance)

Job Overview: The Analytical Support Engineer will be responsible for assisting Operations personnel in troubleshooting and repairing key analytical system components at Linde Gas US facilities both remotely and in the field. T his position requires a combination of office work and field work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to develop working relationships with plants' maintenance team. This role requires up to 25% travel within the U.S. and the ability to provide after business hours support as needed. Responsibilities: - Understand and adhere to company safety work policies and operating practices. Report safety incidents and near misses. - Responsible for commissioning and starting up of f acility analyzers and analytical system components, including associated cylinders, tubing, purifiers, sample pumps, controls, and analyzer suites. - Troubleshoot problems and assist plant personnel in performing corrective maintenance on analyzers and analytical system components. - Identify and assist in managing spare and replacement system components. - Lead the Linde Gases US analyzer obsolescence program in identifying soon-to-be obsolete analyzers and provide recommendations for replacements. - Define training needs/opportunities and coordinate with manufacturers to provide the training. - Read, interpret, and maintain (as needed) P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, QA, and MOC policies. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry or Engineering preferred). - Excellent organizational skills are required. - Ability to write and interpret technical procedures and instructions. - Ability to work on multiple projects during a given time frame. - Industrial Gas experience is preferred. - Experience in chromatography, FTIR, and process analyzers. - Electrical/Electronic aptitude preferred. - Analytical laboratory experience preferred.
