Youth Development Recruitment Initiatives Coordinator (Finance)

In this role, youll connect with local schools, communities, and job seekers to build strong candidate pipelines where theyre needed most. Responsible and accountable for Youth Development recruitment initiatives including job fairs, grass roots efforts in various communities and assisting where assigned by supervisors of those areas.

Works closely with the Human Resources team to develop and nurture relationships with hiring resources, temporary staffing agencies and any other potential source for workforce recruitment entities -including colleges, universities and high schools.

Develops and executes plans for maximum youth development staff recruitment efforts based on staffing needs focusing at different times on areas identified as highest need.

Researches and identifies a variety of ways to post positions through social media, hiring websites, and different recruitment media.

Creates and executes a recruitment calendar based on the needs of individual and group child care operations/regions/centers.

Assist in the duties required with the hiring process including but not limited to: interviewing, screening, ensuring completion of new hire paperwork and onboarding.

Assists with fundraising efforts for small scale fundraising projects to support the YMCAs Youth Development team. This may include large events, community initiatives, and the creation of new revenue streams.

Performs the duties of child care/Head Start staff during absences as needed.

Requires staff to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk by providing staff with ongoing supervision and training related to abuse risk. Provides regular feedback regarding staff boundaries with youth.

Responds seriously and confidently to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors. Responds quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organizations progressive disciplinary procedures.

Follows mandated reporting requirements and communicates to all staff the organizations commitment to protecting their youth from abuse.

Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and viewpoints from all social and economic segments of the organization and community. A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism is expected from our staff.
