The Project Coordinator provides essential support to large government IT programs by managing the administrative, scheduling, and financial aspects of project execution. Operating within the Finance team, this role helps ensure project setup, reporting, and performance tracking align with contractual and compliance requirements. The position serves as a liaison between operations, finance, and delivery teams.
This position is required to report onsite MWF at the Arlington, VA office.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage small project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Track financials and support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
Develop and distribute regular project reports, forecasts, and documentation.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination across departments and teams.
Assist with subcontractor onboarding and monitoring deliverables.
Use project management tools (e.g., Unanet, MS Project) to maintain task and milestone tracking.
Support project setup in financial and reporting systems (e.g., Unanet, Costpoint).
Maintain compliance with contract terms, funding allocations, and reporting formats.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in a government contracting or IT services firm.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
Basic understanding of Earned Value Management and project finance principles.
Familiarity with project management tools and ERP systems like Unanet or MS Project.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related field
