Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell Industrial Automation (IA). You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle, from the front end of business development through product end of life. POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Sr Adv Systems Engineer specializing in industrial Material Handling applications, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of integrated solutions. This senior-level position demands a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and expertise in various engineering disciplines, including software design, process design, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
• Architectural Development: Lead and contribute to the design and development of advanced process management systems for material handling applications, ensuring robust architectures that meet industry standards/customer requirements at optimum cost.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including software engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, firmware developers and other stakeholders to achieve seamless integration of systems.
• Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Drive roadmap development and maturity by introducing innovative solutions and contributing to the company's intellectual property portfolio.
• Customer Focus: Develop and nurture relationships with key customers.
• Project Management: Assist with project leaders to develop work breakdown structure, risk mitigation and project planning to ensure successful and timely delivery of systems. Provide regular updates to leadership on project status and risks.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelors of Science from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 10 to 15 years' experience developing software for critical applications to include:
• 8+ years of C#/.NET in-depth development experience in non-Web base applications.
• 3+ years of SQL Server experience, writing stored procedures highly desirable.
• 3+ years of experience writing specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, including development of Windows services.
• Excellent verbal and writing skill in English.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Development of integration testing.
• Commercial experience in near real time processing, using threading and other real time mechanisms.
• Communications development, such as: integrating customers systems, barcode readers, and services.
