Team Lead, Account Follow-up Services (Healthcare)
What your impact will be:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Account Follow-up Services team.
- Assists Account Follow-up team members with day-to-day questions, issues, approving adjustments and preparing daily worklist assignments.
- Identifies trends with insurance payment delays, denials, no payments from insurance payors that compromise the ability to meet established goals.
- Accountable for the team's delivery of timely Account Follow-up services, ensuring productivity, including quality assurance, onboarding, training and one-on-one performance feedback.
- Prepare customer project status meeting agendas and facilitate meetings.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve process workflow and documentation for the Account Follow-up team.
- Assist team members & customers with working patient accounts, troubleshooting efforts to resolve outstanding insurance balances on patient accounts.
- Collaborate with other leadership and team members to increase productivity, meet goals and achieve improvements.
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in an Account Follow-up role or similar work role.
- Working knowledge of hospital accounts receivable process, collections, billing, denials and appeals.
- Proven experience training new team members of the Account Follow-up team.
- Experience working a high volume of outstanding patient account balances to address customer business needs.
- Experience gathering important customer feedback pertaining revenue cycle management and follow-up on items as needed.
- Ability to travel when required to client site.
