Director, International Operations (Project Management)
The Director – International Operations will be responsible for overseeing the international operations department, support operational execution, maintain, and further develop operational processes, and support any technology developments from a business perspective. As the Director – International Operations, you will work closely with the Independent Business Owners and the cross functional technology teams to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the company's international operations.
Responsibilities:
· Act as the product leader for the international operations – process, system capabilities, reporting, system enhancements, and new technologies
· Drive continued efficiencies in international operations through process refinement and technological enablement
· Develop relationships with all stakeholders, including customers, independent business owners, overseas agents, vendors to improve overall business performance
· Identify opportunities with stakeholders to streamline processes and coordinate and implement these process improvements/efficiencies
· Establish and implement monthly KPI reporting methodology to proactively monitor, evaluate, and improve operational performance and optimize supply chain performance
· Manage and support corporate operations team on end-to-end process of ocean import and export, including communication with vendors, booking cargo, coordinating with customs brokers, and overseeing the delivery process
· Onboard all new corporate international customers and develop detailed SOPs to manage their business requirements
· Drive profitability through cost reduction opportunities and leveraging other MODE service offerings
· Complete annual training in hazardous compliance for both international and domestic transportation
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other relevant fields.
· Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 8 years international logistics/supply chain/transportation function within NVOCC, 3PL, or 4PL with a comprehensive knowledge of international logistics processes and procedures
· Strong management, leadership, and teambuilding skills
· Demonstrated ability to work Independently within a global and changing environment, Including completion of tasks among different complexity levels
· Exceptional communication skills with Internal and external stakeholders
· Excellent cross-functional collaboration with customer centric mindset
· Capable of managing and controlling vendors and forwarders' performance under given criteria and KPIs
· Strong Microsoft Office abilities and data analytical skills
· Knowledge on the regulatory and legal aspects of rates and economics of all modes of transportatio
