Sr Advanced Systems Engineer (Finance)



We are seeking an accomplished Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in developing and optimizing a cutting-edge voice-based workflow product. Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Performance Evaluation: Lead the comprehensive assessment of system performance across all layers of the voice solution, including mobile, web, server-side, and hardware components.

• Software and Hardware Integration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless interoperability between custom hardware modules and a diverse suite of software applications.

• Android Focus: Specialize in Android platform optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, ensuring best-in-class user experiences for voice-driven workflows on Android devices.

• Test Design and Automation: Develop and maintain sophisticated test strategies, automated frameworks, and diagnostic tools to evaluate latency, accuracy, and system reliability under real-world conditions.

• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate bottlenecks, failures, and anomalies throughout the full stack, applying analytical rigor and advanced debugging techniques to resolve complex issues.

• Collaboration and Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence by providing guidance on system architecture, best practices, and process improvements.

• Documentation and Reporting: Produce detailed technical documentation, performance reports, and recommendations for ongoing system enhancements and risk mitigation.

• Continuous Improvement: Monitor emerging technologies, trends, and methodologies in voice workflows, system engineering, and Android development, leveraging these insights to evolve product capabilities.

Primary Duties

• Drive and own system-level performance testing initiatives, including benchmark design, stress testing, and profiling across multiple product components.

• Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate custom microphone arrays, speakers, and connectivity solutions for optimal voice detection and command execution.

• Partner with software developers to optimize voice recognition pipelines, natural language processing modules, and workflow orchestration logic.

• Design and implement scalable test environments that simulate real-world usage patterns, including variable network conditions, multi-user concurrency, and environmental noise.

• Analyze telemetry and log data, applying statistical methods to uncover trends, identify potential risks, and inform product refinements.

• Advise product management on technical tradeoffs related to system performance, reliability, and scalability, particularly in the context of Android deployments.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for security, privacy, and accessibility across all system components.

• Participate in technical reviews, sprint planning, and roadmap discussions, advocating for system integrity, performance, and user-centric design.

MUST HAVES:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering, performance analysis, or software/hardware integration, with a proven track record in voice-based applications.

• Expertise in Android development, including proficiency with C#, Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, and relevant SDKs/APIs.

• Deep understanding of voice recognition algorithms, speech-to-text processing, and audio signal optimization.

• Experience working with custom hardware solutions, embedded systems, or IoT devices as part of integrated products.

• Strong knowledge of system profiling, monitoring, and diagnostic tools for Android and Linux environments.

• Demonstrated ability to design and execute performance test plans, automate validation pipelines, and interpret complex data sets.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights for engineering and product teams.

• Experience in agile development environments, with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

• Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure, microservices, and distributed systems supporting voice workflows.

• Background in security, privacy, or compliance as it pertains to voice solutions and mobile devices.

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks, especially those related to natural language processing and audio analytics.

• Knowledge of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and custom connectivity protocols for hardware integration.

• Open source contributions or published research in voice technology or systems engineering.
