Supplier Quality Engineer (Engineering)

Are you a meticulous problem-solver with a passion for ensuring quality in every step of the manufacturing process? We're looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Norwood Medical, a leading manufacturer of high-precision medical components. In this role, you'll be instrumental in upholding our commitment to patient safety and product excellence by managing the quality performance of our critical suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualify, audit, and monitor new and existing suppliers to ensure they meet our strict quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).Lead investigations into supplier-related quality issues, using tools like 8D or 5 Whys to identify and resolve the root cause of non-conformances.Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.Conduct risk assessments of supplier processes and components, proactively identifying and mitigating potential quality risks.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all supplier quality activities, including audits, non-conformance reports, and performance metrics.
