Warehouse Management System Supervisor (Information Technology)
The WMS Supervisor will be responsible for the implementation and testing of the Warehouse Management System Worldwide. After implementation, they will continue to manage the WMS to IT, LE to WMS vendor and WMS-Operations to other business unit's relationships ensuring compliance with expected service levels. This leader will also work with the Technology Support Manager and WCS software in helping support continuous improvement processes.
Position Summary:
• Set up a team to run Print Room activities which include the following:
Waving orders in preparation for pick, pack, ship
Review orders ensuring all orders sent to WMS are processed in a timely manner.
• Build an Analytical team to maintain WMS systems and processes.
• Setup on-call procedures to support WMS issues.
• Lead and perform UAT testing for all changes affecting Operations.
• Perform problem resolution as necessary.
• Work with the business to define service level requirements.
• Develop expertise to support WMS configuration. Work with the business to define the processes and translate it into system configuration.
• Work with business to maintain a project list, prioritizing projects with IT (if necessary).
• Lead projects for Operations. Maintain active project list and regularly prioritize.
• Support Operations Reporting by sourcing data and creating queries necessary to support business. Set up ad hoc queries to support problem resolution.
• Update SOPs required with updates and process changes.
• Enforce safe work practices, correct and/or escalate unsafe conditions, and conduct appropriate follow-up on employee incidents.
• Perform robust testing of system changes, process improvements or new WMS features.
• Manage system defect tracking including resolution of those found in test environments from the continuous validation performed by Manhattan Associates.
Required Skills:
• Must have extensive experience with MA WMS and config changes, process mapping, SOP updates and understanding of the Manhattan WMS capabilities.
• Works well under pressure with the ability to reprioritize based on business needs or situations.
• Train and mentor staff experience.
• Strong problem resolution skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adhere to Lands' End Attendance expectations.
