HP Indigo Print Operator (On-Site) (Administrative)



Job Summary:
The HP Indigo Print Operator will manage operation of HP Indigo printing press, cutting, coating/laminating, and folder-gluing machines to support digital workflow product group.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Adhere to, support, and encourage others to follow all WEC safety guidelines and procedures including but not limited to the appropriate use of PPE as required, reporting all safety incidents and near miss immediately.Team-player who can also work independently.Ability to concentrate and stay on task.Capable of following instructions in various forms of communicationGood CommunicationAble to read a ruler and follow Customer SpecificationsRegularly calibrates press via color calibration to ensure excellent print quality.Efficiently sets up machine to maximize up time.Confirms job specifications based on job ticket prior to printing.Performs daily and weekly maintenance on press.Notifies supervisor when equipment needs repair.Opens service calls with HP Technical Team, as necessary.Load sheets of material onto pressMonitors print quality while machine is in production.Keeps the pressroom clean and organized.Meet or exceed machine changeover budget.Adjust and operate cutting equipment.Adjust and operate coating/laminating equipment.Adjust and operate folding/gluing equipment.Ability to use appropriate technology to log orders and production information, to identify and confirm correct order specifications, to manage and track inventory as needed, to print labels.Operating Electric pallet jack requiredOvertime possiblePerforms other duties as required.

_Education and Experience:_
High school diploma or equivalent, HP Indigo training & certification
_Physical Requirements:_
The employee is regularly Stand; Walk; Talk; using hands to finger dexterity. Occasionally reaches, stoops, kneels, crouches.
Must be Able to lift, unstack and stack, 30-40 lbs. repetitively for 8 + hours.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception; Ability to adjust focus.
Typical manufacturing environment, working within a small area, walking on concrete floors. Daily exposure to the plant environment; walking near equipment with moving mechanical parts. The entire plant area is built on concrete floors.
