OPP Buyer (Finance)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner based on inventory needs and demands.Maintains proper inventory levels.Communicate daily with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery dates, and resolve any issues.Collaborate closely with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to support fulfillment and inventory accuracy.Monitor open purchase orders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in ERP systems.Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies, providing back-up, and coordinating replacement purchase orders.Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and internal workflows.Continuous improvement of purchasing processes and systems.Tracks, reports, and supports targets, outcomes, and results, providing data on out of stocks, inventory positions and other required measures to inform leadership of company performance.Creates and analyzes all data to make informed decisions on purchases, inventory levels, risk and receipt of goods to meet business unit requirements.Maintains positive relationships with suppliers.Process pricing updates within the system and track changes over time.Ensures purchasing documents are complete and terms and conditions of purchases are appropriate; understands supply chain costs and continues to negotiate for improved terms.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in purchasing, supply chain, business or engineering from four- year college or university; and 5+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret internal data. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from both inside and outside the company.
QUANTITATIVE SKILLS
Ability to comprehend the financial principles and possess strong quantitative and analytical skill sets. Ability to use a computer to create customized spreadsheets and charts, run reports, and interpret data. Ability to analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial documents, and apply that information to communicate as well as make strategic decisions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.Needs to work well within a team environment.Takes ownership of their role and responsibilities to meet the goals of the department and organization.Strong analytical skills and organizational skills with strong excel skills.Proficiency with Microsoft officeFamiliarity with Materials Resource Planning (MRP) process.
