Fire Alarm Technician (Maintenance)



Job Summary

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.Maintaining positive relationships with clients and acting as a point of contact for troubleshooting and repairs.

Essential Duties

Installation, configurations, maintenance, and repairs of fire alarm and fire suppression systems in residential and commercial buildings, according to code

Provide technical support and guidance to customers on the best fire alarm systems for their needs

Customize fire alarm panel programming to meet specific project reusability requirements

Respond to emergency service calls

Ability to clearly communicate and articulate job needs

Keeping up to date with industry standards and regulations

Knowledge of electrical equipment, components, instruments, and fire alarm systems

Knowledge of electric theory, circuits, and components

Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols

Providing exceptional customer service

Knowledge in how to Inspect buildings for fire hazards

Work in hot and cold temperatures and heights

Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation

Must be able to travel from jobsite to jobsite

Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions and ensure completion of continuing education to maintain certification

Attend company information and safety meetings

Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation

Qualifications

NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Required)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical Manuals.

Ability to pass ACE certification

Work in hot and cold temperatures

Must travel from jobsite to jobsite

Be willing to work out of town

Related Experience

Minimum 3 years of related experience required.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Safety/ Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50bs.

Ability to work in confined spaces

Ability to work in varying outdoor temperatures, and indoor cold temperatures depending on cold box/freezer temps

Position requires constant walking, climbing, lifting, pulling, and squatting

Pay Rate: $25.00-$35.00

Classification: Non-Exempt, In Person, Full Time

Reports to: Division Manager

Supervisory: No direct reports
