Senior HR Generalist (Project Management)



GPI is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team, specializing in UKG Ready Database Management, comprehensive Leave Management (including Workers' Compensation and Disability), Retirement Plan Management, and COBRA Administration. This is a full-time role based at our corporate headquarters in Babylon, NY, with a planned move to Melville.

Position SummaryThe Senior HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective administration and optimization of GPI's HR systems and employee benefit programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in UKG Ready (or similar HCM platforms), lead leave and disability management, oversee retirement plans, and administer COBRA while ensuring legal compliance at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:

UKG Ready Database Management:

Oversee the integrity and security of employee data within the UKG Ready system.
Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot the HRIS database to align with organizational needs and policies.
Control user access and functionality, ensuring appropriate data governance.
Generate and customize reports to provide actionable workforce insights.
Maintain data accuracy and consistency across all HRIS modules.

Leave Management (Workers' Compensation & Disability):

Administer and manage all aspects of employee leave, including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and Disability claims.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, management, and vendors regarding leave programs and benefits.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws, and maintain thorough documentation of all cases.
Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance carriers as needed to facilitate claims and return-to-work processes.

Retirement Plan Management:

Administer the company's retirement plans, including enrollments, changes, and distributions.
Communicate plan benefits and updates to employees and assist with retirement planning questions.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with ERISA and related regulations.

COBRA Administration:

Oversee COBRA processes, ensuring timely notification, enrollment, and communication of continuation coverage options to eligible participants.
Coordinate with third-party administrators and maintain compliance with all COBRA requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

Support local HR representatives with data changes, employment status updates, and policy implementations.
Assist in the resolution of employee relations issues, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policy and legal regulations.
Provide guidance and training to staff on HR system usage and benefits administration.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience.
SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in UKG Ready or similar HRIS/HCM platforms is required.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and benefit regulations.

Salary Range: $70,000-$81,000
