Operator, Tapping Deflection - 1st Shift (Finance)

Job Details
- Position Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
- Pay Range: $18-19 per hour
- Work Location: Mundelein, Illinois (On-Site)
- Shift: 1st (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
- Operate tapping and deflection machines according to safety and quality standards.
- Inspect parts visually and with gauges to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Load/unload parts onto machinery using appropriate tools and fixtures.
- Perform machine adjustments and basic preventative maintenance as required.
- Record production and inspection data accurately.
- Work collaboratively with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve production issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or technical drawings.
- Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for machine operation.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Willingness to work assigned shift and overtime as needed.
- Experience operating tapping or deflection equipment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
- Prior experience in the automotive or metalworking industry.
